Duke was drafted out of high school by the New York Mets in 1970, then again in 1972 by the Pittsburgh Pirates and finally a third time by the Detroit Tigers.Duke joined Jonah and his team for the ceremony Monday and said he hopes it doesn't take another 43 years before another player is drafted out of Amherst. As Jonah reflected back on his legacy at Amherst and the impact he's had on Western New York baseball, he said, "Anything can happen, I mean you set your goals and work hard for them and hopefully everything works out.Good point. Maybe instead of bothering to hold the election in the US, we should just ask the people of the Middle East, India and those other countries who they think should be our President.
